Judd,
You are really an interesting guy in fishing. I thought we always need a buddy system on water. I have children of 9, 7, and 5 years and would also like to bring some or all of them to fish sometimes. However kids are bored if there is no actions during the event. I found there is a great spot for kids fishing in Stoney creek metropark if you don't mind the size of fish. It is one of the connection canal to the wildering zone. There are a lot of small hungry grappies good for kids to catch and learn the process.

Thanks for the advice. I already have a beginning fly fishing gear but I need to find a location and group to start with. I also have some books and vedio on this hobby. I have visited Bass Pro Shops before and I will ask around Wayne next time I visit there. Thanks.

Hi Bertrand. FAST has a growing number of guys who fly fish so you're in luck. I'd also suggest if your ever at Bass Pro Shops that you go to their White River Fly Shop and see if my brother Wayne is working. He will take the time to answer any question s you have about gear. Hope to see you at a future meeting or something.

Bertrand, yes i fish out of a single man kayak 100% of the time. that way there is no one else to get mad at besides yourself if something goes wrong:)

Hi Betrand, welcome to the Field and Stream Team (FAST) online community. There's plenty of guys here that love to fish. A number of us that just learned to fly fish the past couple years so there's a growing number of guys interested in going out and can share what we know. There's also several experienced guys that led us in our learning. I look forward to meeting in person soon!
