So easy Chuck may even do it himself ;-)
If you have similar events that happen again and again, or if you want to recycle a past event as a template for an upcoming event, you can simply navigate to the event in question, choose Copy Event from the drop-down edit menu.
You will be presented with a new event that is an exact copy of the previous event. Change any of the details you wish and click “Add Event”. Congratulations. You have just created a new event by copying an old one.
While this won’t create a fully automated, recurring event on a particular day of the week (for example), it makes the process of creating repeating or re-purposing old events quicker and easier. Allowing for true recurring events is still something we hope to add.
A few details to consider about this:
- Anyone who has access to the drop-down menu of an event can copy an event.
- If you copy an event, you will be designated as the creator of the new event.
- When you copy an event, you'll need to re-invite everyone.
- Old events will, of course, live on untouched.
Since you’re going to need to view old events, we’ve enhanced the events feature to make it easier to find and browse past events. Instead of showing only “All Events,” visiting your Ning Network's Events feature will take you to “Upcoming Events,” as it does today, but you'll see a link to access “Past Events" as well.
