The Michigan Fly Fishing Club will be putting on their Expo (www.midwestflyfishing expo.com)once again. If you have never been there, it sure is a great time for the whole family. There will be seminars, classes and demonstrations throughout the weekend. Come see us in Orvis Row in front of the casting pond. This is a great time to cast the Helios and Hydros rods. See and feel what you have been missing.

These free seminars are given by Fishing Manager Rich Merlino who has over 30 years Fly-Fishing experience chasing fresh, warm and saltwater species. We welcome everyone that has a desire to learn more about this great sport. Bring a friend… or two... or three. We would love to meet you.

One on Two Casting Lessons
April 17th 10 am -2 pm
We will take two people per half hour outside to work on whatever techniques or skills they would like to hone. Great for beginning to advanced casters. Only 10 spots available. Call the store to reserve your spot.

2010 ONE-DAY FLY FISHING SCHOOLS
Enjoy the beautiful surroundings at the Huntsman Hunt Club in Dryden, Michigan as you learn the skills that will reward you for a lifetime. Come join us for our one-day school where under the watchful eyes of Orvis instructors you’ll learn
• Casting techniques
• Essential knots
• How to choose your gear and tackle
• Stream entomology
• Proper fly selection
• How to read water
• How to play, land, and safely release fish
The classes start at 9:00 a.m. We will supply all the equipment and a fabulous lunch. A Continental Breakfast is available for students that arrive early. Bring a hat, sunglasses and clothes comfortable for the day’s expected weather. Our class ends at 4:00 p.m. but feel free to test your skills on the Huntsman’s bass pond. Cost of the class is only $235.

This is a great class to bring a youngster or a youngster to bring you. We suggest 10 years and older. Although all kids are different, any one that can enjoy 8 hours of instruction will gain a lot from this class. An adult must be present. Total cost for both parent and child is $335.
Fly Tying Classes There is nothing more rewarding than catching a fish on a fly you tied yourself. This class will show you the tools and materials that will help you make effective creations. You will also learn the skills to tying Dry, Wet, Nymph and Streamer flies. All materials and tools are provided. The class consists of four separate 2-hour sessions. Only $120. There is a 10% discount on tools and materials you wish to purchase while you are taking the class. Sign up by calling the store.
Fly-Tying-Your Choice
These intermediate classes are designed to teach style specific fly-tying skills. You may take one or all of these classes. Each class is $30. All materials and tools are provided.
