I pray everyone made it home safely and had a great time this weekend.  I missed a major point of my presentation on Saturday about turkey hunting, women are the fastest growing segment of turkey hunters and Erin Krause is a bona fide turkey hunter.  Erin shot her first turkey last year in her first season.  Kyle is reminded of this every time we tie flies at his house and everyone asks about the turkey mount in the family room, "no, that's my wife's".  Pretty cool!  Thanks to Erin for coming and putting up with us!

I also want to thank all the people who helped make this event great especially, Scott Harper, Jerry Padovini, and Jim Petty and his "Meat Ministry" (the food was awesome).  I think the kids had an awesome time outdoors.  Sierra (my 6 yo daughter) said, "it was super duper".  Thanks to everyone for kicking in and making this a co-op event by bringing food, helping with cooking/ clean-up, and watching out for each other's kids.  Some of the kids were sounding great on the calls.  Encourage them to keep practicing but feel free to kick them outside to do it.  Also, thanks to Doug Post for bringing his reactive target and letting us blast at it.  Boy, that was fun to shoot at it!
I hope you learned some things about turkey hunting, enjoyed the amazing weather on Saturday, and grew in fellowship with the great Christian people we're surrounded by at KCC.  I pray those bonds keep growing and, remember, we are all in God's army fighting the battle.  Thanks to Steve Buchan for donating the dog tags.
I will post pictures on both the Field and Stream Team Website and will try to send a link too.  I have a ton.
Peace and God Bless,
Chris
