I was told about this fly tying event at Camp Ticonderoga by Richard Buzard. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to attend this week as the U of M game is on at the same time but this is pretty cool. I thought I would share it with the guys here.

Bar Flies!
Our 4th season of Bar Flies is better than ever. We’ve got a new location, fresh line-up, and several dates on the East side in 2014. See the full line-up below, or read on to learn more about this popular fly tying event.
What is Bar Flies?
The premise is simple, Bugs+Beer=Awesome! Each week from January thru March, we bring in a roster of the best tyers from the Midwest – and beyond – to guide you step-by-step through flies that PRODUCE on the water! Bring your tools and vice, we supply the rest. Admission is only $20. New to fly tying? Each week also features a beginners table so bring a friend (tools & vice supplied).
Where & When?
Bar flies runs every Wednesday evening thru March. 2014 features a convenient new location,Sidetracks Bar and Grill located just down the street from the shop in Ypsilanti’s Depot Town.
Bar Flies EAST is a new addition for 2014 – bringing all the fun of Bar Flies to metro-detroit’s East side! One Thursday a month you’ll find us at Camp Ticonderoga in Troy.
