Attitude Adjustment for Kings

Hey Guys,

So this weekend started out a little challenging. I had about a 10 day break from a house were flipping so my plans were to head north. While packing I came down with something and had no energy to pack anymore. 2.5 days later, I was finally headed north. I am glad I got sick before heading north. God was really looking out for me there.

Thursday I got all set up and decided to go to town from supplies. Decided to hit a fishing hole on the way out and snapped my driveshaft. 85 dollars later and no driveshaft, I was back in bed. Great way to start out a trip...ha.

Anyways, the Salmon fishing was a little better then labor day but not much. We hooked healthy salmon every single days but not many. Fished many long hours with 2-4 fish every single day. On saturday my buddies found a big pod of fish and on Monday I found a big pod of fish. My honey hole that has been hot for me all season once again paid off huge. Moving around a lot searching for salmon really helped us. People were catching fish on thunder stick and other body baits but all are fish came on skein for us. One day a flavor of skein would take all the fish and the next day it would be a different flavor. Spawn bags did not hook any fish.

Seen 4 cohos caught and heard of a few steelhead but did not see any.

If you are waiting for the "big push" of King Salmon to come, it may not come. I would suggest getting up there with the way this run has been.

Here are some fish pics from the weekend:

Finally received my guide license from the DNR. Getting insurance and paying for permits today. Hopefully getting back up north soon. After watching guides all weekend take people fishing I was kind of wishing I was doing the same.
