FAST is the best.

Here is another email from a happy mom.

Can't thank you enough for last Saturday. Kaz had the best day. I think he stopped talking about his abilities, accomplishments and how he learned to shoot by Monday night.
Keep me in the loop when there are other events like these.
What a wonderful group you belong to. You are truly…

Lapeer Kids in Camo---kudos

Hey Guys here is an email I received from a Kensington Mom

I want to thank you for including my children, Ian and Emma, in Kensington’s Field and Stream youth outing. To say they enjoyed the day is an understatement. Gene commented on how well organized all the events were as well as the patience and enthusiasm of the instructors. Honestly, I don’t know who enjoyed the…

Memorial Day shoot wrapup

The storms held off for the hardy seven that braved the heat, humidity and humiliation. Breakfast attenders were Chris Sarsfield, Steve Buchan, Jim Kaminsky, Jason Middlemiss and Greg Jager. Marty Olkowski and Steve Andrews met us at the newly reopened Bald Mountain sporting clays course. Greg Jager was top gun, by a wide margin (do not invite him again), Marty is a wonderful teacher that coached the squad to improving scores as we went. Steve Andrews is a suprisingly good shot for someone…

Guys Night Out Lapeer Style

What a great night. Jim Hartwick, Mark Prokop, Mark Reuter, Jim Parkinson and a new FAST member Doug Post met with the folks at Lapeer County Sportsman's Club. We did the final preparation for our sold out 2010 Kids in Camo event. Look for the new AR-15 station, should be a huge hit. Before and after the meeting we shot trap and sporting clays. As usual Mark Reuter put on a clinic. Jim Hartwick was the suprise performer of the group (Is it a fluke?), and Mark Prokop beat me down. We even tested… Continue

Rabbit hunting with the cowboy

Spent a great weekend with my family, Rick Harker and his brother in law Dave and Kyle Krause and his lovely wife Erin. We chased bunnies and snowshoe hares for two days and bagged @ 10 rabbits for the wild game dinner. Good food and fellowship added to the weekend. Will someone take Kyle to the store so he can get some Michigan winter clothes instead of the California winter clothes?

Day at the range

Went to Bald Mountain range with Mackenzie and David and DJ Binkley. Everyone had a great time shooting .223, .243, .22, 30-06, .38, .357, .45. Mackenzie and her classmate DJ did great. What a wonderful venue for shooting and kids under 16 shoot free. The best part for me was the ride home when my 10 yr. old daughter said, "Dad, I like the smell of gunpowder".
