New to Kensington Community Church or interested in the Field and Stream Team (FAST), tell us a bit about your interests. If you're not new, tell us about your KCC experience, FAST, and your hobbies.
Have been with KCC for over 8 years. I came to Kensington to attempt to get my kids engaged. I have 2 sons 20 and 15 and a daughter 19. I attend B'ham Campus and volunteer for Coffee Team, Tear Down Team, Edge, & tutor 5th graders at Stevenson Elementary as part of KCC tutor program. I enjoy all sports and have hunted and fished, but not as avid probably as most on the FAST. Met some great guys from FAST and looking forward to meeting more.
If attending Kensington Community Church, which campus do you regularly attend?
You will be a great addition to FAST, your energy and commitment to Christ is what the Field and Stream is all about. You should consider the G G and G event April 12-14, that event will give you a view of the FAST guys in our natural environment. Welcome to the land of the "No Gun Free Zone". Shoot em if you got em.
Hal .... welcome to the brotherhood my friend! A bunch of us usually head out to Bald Mtn after Sunday services to go some clay shooting.
Feel free to come to some of our events, even bring some of your kids along so that they can enjoy the great outdoors as well .... but you have to bring some coffee & doughnuts though ... lol ... just kidding.
Welcome to FAST! You have joined a group with a lot of great guys. I am pretty new myself (less than a year), but have really enjoyed my time here so far. There are so many things to do as well as lots of information on this site. Feel free to post some of your hunting/fishing pictures here as well as comment/contribute on the various forums and discussions. Try to attend one of the monthly meetings at either Troy or Lake Orion. It's a great way to get connected in this group. If you have any questions, feel free to contact any of us. Looking forward to meeting you at one of our events!
Hi Hal, welcome to FAST! I see you live in Troy but you attend Birmingham. I assume you live on the west side of Troy. I'm over by Sylvan Glen and attend the Troy campus. Don't worry about being avid this or that. I learned most everything about hunting from guys in FAST. You'll enjoy the open handedness of everyone. The biggest mistake guys make is not asking to learn or getting out to learn. Welcome and I look forward to connecting in person soon at one of the upcoming meetings or outings.
