New to Kensington Community Church or interested in the Field and Stream Team (FAST), tell us a bit about your interests. If you're not new, tell us about your KCC experience, FAST, and your hobbies.
I am new to Kensington. I grew up in Oakland County, but I moved away to Colorado for 12 years. I am back now, but I have not been hunting in a very long time. I know the basics but I am rusty. I am an outdoorsman to the bottom of my heart. I would love to connect with some guys through this program.

One thing I should say is that I am studying to take the bar exam in July, so please don't think I'm not interested in doing stuff if I don't participate much at first. July 24 and 25 are the test dates. So on July 26 I will be a free man once again. Ha ha. (I would appreciate any prayer for that bar exam between now and then also.) Thanks for letting me be part of your team. I look forward to meeting all of you and making new friends. I attended my first Kensington service this morning (9am 5/6/12) and I'm looking forward to making new friends there as well.

God Bless

Bar Exam Progress

Posted on May 17, 2012 at 4:09pm 0 Comments

Well, the first couple of days of Bar Review have been pretty dry. Unfortunately I suspect that this is what I have to look forward until the Bar Exam. BarBri (the bar review company) sent us all a big box full of books that are full of the material we are supposed to use to study. The first five days of the course are a "workshop" where we attend a lecture from 9am - 3pm. Each day we go through 25 multiple choice questions in a given subject area. Then the lecturer…

Paint Creek. But no Pics.

Posted on May 12, 2012 at 7:26pm 0 Comments

I fished Paint Creek today. I was really surprised to see that I was the only one on the river being that it is a Saturday. I got down there at around 12:00pm. It was kinda slow, but I did get some trout during the first couple hours. They were all small except one that was likely about 10". Even the little ones are tons of fun to catch though, because they flip all over the place. ha ha. I was going to get a picture of the bigger one but he slipped out of my hands as soon as I got him…

No problem Brad.  Looking forward to meeting you as well.  Hope you guys had a good and "productive" evening out on the Detroit River.

That is a Detroit river walleye. 10 lbs. 4 oz. That is what we are after this Thursday. I saw that you are RSVP'ed for it, so it will be great to meet you on Thursday. As for the tackle needed, I will have a rod and reel for you to use. This way you don't have to go get this stuff for one event. (we will not be fishing for walleye this way after this week.) Are you a spinning reel guy or a baitcast reel guy?

Welcome back Brad!

Glad to have you aboard! This is the perfect group of guys to connect with on your Christian journey. Please feel free to jump right in, and of course, we understand about participation. We just want you to know we will be here whenever you are able to participate. Glad to have you on the site, and I look forward to meeting you in the future. We will be praying for you and that test my friend!
