If anyone knows of a kids group (cub scouts, girl scouts, baseball team, etc...) that would like to pick up pop cans at the event for a fundraiser, please let me know. They would be at the event clearing cans off the table throughout the night and take the cans with them at the end of the evening . Thanks!

Guys,

Just wanted to run an idea by you since we are low on venison for the game dinner.  Would anyone have a problem with a swap a deer plan.  I sometimes have venison left over from last years deer especially if I got a couple.  I would eat it first before any of the new meat was used.  If we let people swap pound for pound it may bring more deer meat to the table for donation.  Example ( I get a deer and get it processed with our partners in Berkley.  FAST pays the fees and it produces 40 pounds of venison.  I come collect that meat and hand in 40 pounds of venison from last year.  OR  collect only 20 pounds and hand in another 20 from last years deer )  Just a thought I had in the Deerstand this weekend.  Allows people to circulate meat so it does not go to waste.  Wondering what you think ?  Maybe it is to difficult or maybe we would be getting less quality ( freezer burned meat if not wrapped properly or all shoulder meat) ???

Guys,

I will not be able to make tomorrow's meeting but wanted to give you a heads up for donations.  I gave custom arrows to Paul D. ( auction )  and aluminum water bottles which are just door prizes.  I gave head Massagers to Scott H. ( also just door prizes ).  Just got confirmation That Detroit Bucks Club is buying a table of 8 and coming to setup their stuff.  They will have a donation for us as well (Jim,  This is Don Bishop Jr.'s New Company ). Also have a couple Hitch Plugs from Al and Wild Fowl Bay Mfg. but he cannot make the dinner. Have not heard from Uncle Henrys Meats yet but does not look promising this year.  They have not done any game dinners, to busy with licensing for new products.

So I have access to the key for the room the mounts are in (3rd floor at KCC Troy).  I looked at them this morning and believe we can get them all in my durango and Kyle's truck.  Kyle- let's do Sat morn....let me know when your available, and bring some blankets ( I will bring some also).

Spoke to Steve Andrews today...he responded just the way I knew he would.  I asked if we could display a couple of his mounts- he said to take them all.  I said maybe not the bigger ones so we don't hurt them- he said who cares if they get damaged...there for people to see and enjoy.  If we want to bring them all it may take some coordinating (he said a couple trucks would be enough).  I have my durango.  He asked me to give his asst- Debbie a heads up tomorrow so she knows we are grabbing them.    Who has a truck that we can load the bigger ones in?  I haven't seen them but I am guessing my durango can transport some of the smaller mounts and the skins.  LOOKING FOR A TRUCK!!???!?!?!?  When can we bring them to Eagle Creek?

We are looking for a day before our next FAST meeting but it is difficult to find a night open for most.  We will keep you posted. The flyer will be emailed soon.

Is there a planning meeting planned?

Good News! We have a guest speaker for the wild game dinner. I recently talked with Mike Avery and he has humbely accepted our invitation to speak at the Feb 19th wild game dinner. Mike feels that God has given him the gift of media exposure (my words not his) to pass on the Gospel. He speaks at many wild game dinners so he should be an excellent fit for our dinner.
