For those that might be interested. The Vanguard Chapter of Trout Unlimited is hosting a casting clinic in Rochester Park this Thursday:
This Thursday, June 2, will be our monthly meeting which will be a casting clinic in Rochester Park. We will meet at the pavilion that is across the bridge from the Police Station at 7:30 PM. Bring your favorite rod, rigged and ready to cast.
The instructor will be Dave Leonhard, one of the owners of Orvis Streamside in Traverse City. Dave has been a fly angler for more than 50 years and has taught fly casting and fishing to thousands of anglers. Dave Leonhard is a master certified casting instructor for the Federation of Fly Fishers, head of fly casting for the Michigan Council TU Fly Fishing School, a life member of TU, a former director and charter member of the Adams Chapter of Trout Unlimited in Traverse City, Michigan, former president of the Challenge Chapter of TU, owner of Orvis Streamside in Traverse City, and owner/director Orvis Michigan Fly Fishing School and director of casting for the Orvis Michigan Fly Fishing School.
Vanguard will provide hot dogs and pop if you care to stop by for dinner early (about 6:00 PM)
